"Religion zielt über die Widersprüche und Zufälligkeiten des Lebens hinaus auf eine fremde Mitte zu, wo jedes Bild, jeder Begriff, jeder identify verstummt".
Christian Lehnert struggle einige Jahre als evangelischer Pfarrer tätig. Danach vier Jahre als Studienleiter an der Evangelischen Akademie in Wittenberg. Seit 2012 ist er Leiter des Liturgiewissenschaftlichen Instituts der Universität Leipzig.
